This plant likes moderate to bright sun but no direct sunlight. Direct sun may burn the leaves. They grow fine in moderate light locations but will grow faster and fuller with more light. Water the plant when the top of the soil is dry and give the plant a deep, thorough soak until water come out of the drainage holes.
